The current version of the Crossfire server is 1.60.0 as of 2011-Jan-31, however there have been numerous updates available via SVN since then. The release has *NOT* been fully ported to all platforms just yet.

NOTE:

ATTENTION Linux Users:

  • You must have GTK-dev installed as well as xpmlib

ATTENTION Windows Users:

  • Note1: You'll need Winzip, ZipGenius, UltimateZip or equivalent to unzip the files.
  • Note2: Make SURE that this tool will NOT convert Unix newline to Windows, else it will NOT work.
  • Note3: A somewhat regular snapshot is available for the server and client, no compiling is needed - just download and install from the .exe file
  • Note4: With the Windows GTK client, use GTK version 2.12.9

SVN:

The general commands to check out a module (archtypes, client, maps, server map editor, et al) is the following:
